A MEANINGFUL LIFE
BASED ON REAL EVENTS
THE AUTHOR
Pat Assersohn
Pat Assersohn is an accomplished author of two family sagas and a compelling work of Historic fiction, 'And the Angels Cried.'
Her career as a writer follows three previously successful careers, first as an international dealer in antiques and specialist in early English furniture.
She also established her own interior design business working in England, France and Ireland. She was the managing director and co-creator with her husband of their privately-owned property business.

Then, with the support of her husband, a financial journalist and published author, himself, she took up writing full-time, having brought up three daughters by her first marriage.

She and her husband have traveled widely off the beaten track, in southern Africa, particularly Namibia, and also in South America, either on their own or with a personal guide.

They have also traveled extensively in India with a car and driver to establish an online marketing business with top tour operators in the early days of the Internet. On their initial five-week tour of Rajasthan, they stayed as paying guests with eight Maharajas in their magnificent Royal palaces.

Pat’s books are in the genre of Historic Fiction and a hallmark is the deep and extensive research that she personally carries out.

She weaves her well-developed characters through story lines that move smoothly and easily for her mainly-women readers and always against the backdrop of real events which are accurately portrayed.

She and her husband have divided their lives between their 16th century cottage in Oxfordshire,England, and their contemporary apartment on the West Coast of Florida.
Her latest book has been inspired by the extraordinary achievements of Mabel Stobart who emerged from the post-Suffragette movement to become a pioneer of women's empowerment.
